Wowser. Gratitude for Ourselves?! 😳
Sometimes I think it’s easier finding and feeling gratitude for our enemies, before finding it for ourselves.
We humans have an uncanny ability to be critical, rather than compassionate to ourselves.

Mirror Work, Mirror Play
Mirror work is a powerful technique for self-love and fostering more compassion and courage for yourself and your life.
It involves speaking affirmations, intentions, thank-you’s, awhile looking in the mirror, helping individuals recognize their feelings about themselves.
Sitting in front of a mirror can be challenging at first, known as mirror work. But gradually, over time, it will begin to feel easier, more transformative, and more like play than work.

A Sacred Self-Gratitude Workout
Mirror Work for Authentic Generous Self-Gratitude
- Get some privacy. Let yourself have this time uninterrupted with yourself.
- Let yourself connect to yourself, by looking into your eyes.
- At first just let yourself be present, to feel and think whatever comes present. Just look into your eyes, breathe and be present.
- Emotions may come up, feel them, allow them, do your best to continue looking into your beautiful eyes.
- And when you’re ready repeat and complete this statement as many times you like, or until you feel complete: “Thank you… “
You might like to thank yourself for…
- Challenges
- Stuff you do
- Achievements
- Little, ordinary things that get taken for granted
- Relationships
- Kindnesses
- etc
- Of course it’s not the words that are important. It’s the Love, the compassion, the connection.
