You Will Need: Your Healing Book, a writing instrument, and a safe, sacred space

1. Set a Positive Intention for Healing

Write down your healing intention that includes the phrase for the Highest Good, along with anything that supports what you most want to experience.

2. Breathe and Be In Your Body

Use some natural, slow or somatic breathing.

3. Allow Your Body to Guide You

Think of the situation that’s calling for your care right now, a person, an animal, a post, a rescue. Then ask yourself:

Is it time to give right now… or time to rest?

</aside>

Let the answer arise from your body and heart, not your mind.

Notice:

<aside> <img src="/icons/battery-charged_orange.svg" alt="/icons/battery-charged_orange.svg" width="40px" />

Do you feel tension and heaviness, or Lightness and space?

Does your body want to move toward or away?

Does your heart expand or contract?

</aside>

Imagine the two outcomes of your situation as choices in your two hands, suspended in front of you. Simply notice:

<aside> <img src="/icons/battery-charged_orange.svg" alt="/icons/battery-charged_orange.svg" width="40px" />

Does one choice start to rise, feel lighter, and lift upward?

Is another dropping, heavy and moving down?

</aside>

Just allow your body to respond and observe.

4. Write Down Awareness

Pause, breathe, and write down any insights. Ask the questions that matter, and open to possible next steps.

5. Thank and Reward Yourself

Thank yourself for all you do to love and care for those around you. Now go treat yourself.

Compassion fatigue isn’t a sign that you cared too much, it’s a reminder to care in a new way.

When you let yourself feel and then meet those feelings with love for yourself and for whoever’s hurting, you stop running on empty. You begin to refill from the inside out.

That’s the shift that changes everything. Your heart stays open, your body stays steady, and your ability to keep showing up, real, present, and alive, returns.
