Guided Experience 15 • Planning the Celebrations That Matter Most

A heartfelt practice to help you discover meaningful ways to honor your Rainbow One. Guides you in planning celebrations, rituals, or moments of remembrance that feel most authentic to your love and connection.

Estimated Time Required: 5 – 15 minutes or more

You Will Need: Your Healing Book, a writing instrument, a safe, sacred space, your calendar (online calendar, wall calendar, or both), pens and colors and any stickers you like

1. Bring Your Rainbow One into Your Rainbow Sanctuary

Yep you’re going to be doing this together. Take some time to be together. Feel them close.

2. Reflect On What You Want to Celebrate

Gently reflect on the following days. Don’t make any decisions at this point. Just write down the days that feel uplifting and filled with love to you.

3. Now Decide on One or More Days to Celebrate This Year

Circle the days you wrote down that you want to focus on celebrating this year. Now ask your Rainbow One, if they also agree these are the ones to celebrate? They may help you let go of certain days, and help you focus on others.

4. Visualize Each Celebration

Close your eyes and feel your Rainbow One close, and together connect to the intention of this celebration. You may see a moment or details of what you’d like to create. You may just feel the essence, the overall feeling of this day. Hold your Rainbow One close and imagine having the most wonderful celebration ever.

Take notes of any details for each day.

Ask your Rainbow One to give you a few words or phrase to describe the essence and intention of this celebration.

For example:

Utter joy on the beach.

Deep gratitude for how much my life changed.

Share silly stories.

5. Write Details for One of More Parts of Each Celebration

For each day you choose to celebrate, create one part to honor your Rainbow One.

Some examples:

Light a candle and say their name. Maybe in front of a photo frame of them.

Visit their favorite place. Be intentional. Share stories and remember.

Toast them over a meal. Encourage others to share also.

Write them a letter in your Healing Book. Say everything you want to. And receive their response.

Make a donation in their honor. Maybe to the rescue that saved them or helped them.

Share a story about them with someone you love. Or share something online.

Create or add to their altar or photo space. Remember to ask them for input.

Meditate with them in your arms. Spend time connected to them in your Rainbow Sanctuary.

Buy some flowers, or something simple to enjoy in their honor.

Cook something inspired by what they loved. If they loved peanut butter, make peanut butter cookies and name them after them.

6. Create Practical Reminders

Choose the following that apply for you:

7. Thank and Reward Yourself

Thank your Rainbow One for all their help. And thank yourself for showing up to honor your connection. Now go do something to reward yourself for spending this time.

Rituals don’t prove your love, they simply reveal it.

When you make space to include your Rainbow One in the moments that matter—when you say their name, plan with intention, honor them as family, and let yourself feel their love in both sacred and joyful ways—something shifts. The pain doesn’t disappear, but joy begins to return. Community gathers around you. Love grows larger than the “loss”.
