When I lost my beloved Ellie, I was shocked by how deeply it affected me.
Even after experiencing profound loss in my life, including losing my mum at 14, there was something about the loss of an animal companion that touched such a tender and primal place in my heart.
What I’ve come to discover through my own grief, and through supporting others, is that pet grief is real grief. Deep grief. And it deserves care, compassion, community, and space to be felt.
The Ojai Pet Grief Circle was created to offer exactly that: a gentle place where no one has to carry this kind of heartbreak alone. 💙
